If you are like me.Growing up around and in church. We have heard about God’s love. But do we really grasp what that means? First we have to try to wrap our small minds around God. So often I tend to try and stick God in Sarah’s box. I try to bring God down to my level so I can try and understand him, but then that leads me to putting limitations on God who is limitless. I am afraid we have done this with God’s love too.
Love has several meanings in the Greek and Latin it has been translated from. Love

” a desire  to be in the presence of someone.”

Okay let’s talk about that definition. God desires to be in our presence! Let that sink in! Amazing isn’t it! Some verses that use this definition of love are as follows.

Deuteronomy 7:7-8
The Lord did not set His love upon you and chose you because you where more in number than any other people, for you were the fewest of all the people. But because the Lord loves you and because He would keep the oath which He had sworn to your father’s, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. AMP translation.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.  ESV translation

Romans 5:8
But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
ESV translation

God desires to spend time with each one of us on a personal, one on one basis. Just me and God, just you and God, no one else. He wants us to focus all our attention on Him just as he already focuses all His attention on us every minute of everyday. There is not a hole deep enough or a height high
enough that he does not see you, and love you, with that I want to spend time in your presence love. Until next time God bless.
